I've always been curious about the taste of balut, a renowned delicacy among Philippine street foods. Finally, I decided to buy 2 for me & my brother to try.

Balut is often seen being enjoyed by YouTubers or travellers, typically seasoned with vinegar, sliced chili, diced onions, & a dash of salt.

First, tap the top of the egg with a teaspoon, the duck embryo with the 'broth' inside. Then, add the needed to enhance the flavour.

Its flavour resembles steamed chicken, but with more robust taste. The egg white is too hard to eat, but the yolk is watery though with the duckling head.

Mr Hubby tried once when he's at Philippines & he recommended to pair the balut with beer or a strongly flavoured beverage to cleanse the palate after eaten.

Nilagang Baboy (pork broth with banana, potato & vege) RM 15.90 : Served in unique pot, comfy hot broth, many pieces fat & tender pork. Nice combination with banana. Soup tasted like ABC soup, nice. 3 pax portion.

Fried Chicken Wing RM11.90: First bite, Jolibee!!! 2nd bite: Jolibee!!! Ya, it's Jolibee taste😉

Porksilog (Fried Pork Belly) set RM 12.90: Adequate portion, not bad.

Environment: Kopitiam level, small, cleanliness need improvement

The crispy pata ( crispy pork leg ) is a must order dish if you are in filipino restaurant 🙈🙈🙈

My gosh this is so fattening but i must eat this no matter how because the skin is so ffff crispy and the “gin” is so soft and tender it’s just go perfect with their chilli kicap and kitcai!

While having some heavy pork leg, you must order some vege to kasih balance abit so I won’t feel so fat therefore we ordered kangkung belacan.

To wash all our oily food so we ordered a sour sour sup. This is one of the “zhao pai” sup. I actually want to order one more sisig pork but only 2 of us cannot order so much so next time la….
