大伙船 - Restoran Beaufort Mee (old Foh Chuan)

Mr Hubby was craving their mee soup, so we went there for weekend's breakfast.

We ordered...
Mee soup with mixed pork innards and bbq pork
Stir fried rice noodle with pickled veggies, tomato, soft bean curd and bbq pork

However, it seemed like today's noodles were cooked in a bit of a rush and lacked that signature burnt taste 'wok hei'.

On the bright side, the char siu was delicious, and I managed to snap a picture of it rest after fresh out of the oven.

Mr Hubby got me a bowl of sup kosong with winter melon and meat, which was full of flavour, with the addition of fried onions.

He loves to sit behind the kitchen, as it's cooler than sitting inside the coffee shop, smokey and crowded with others.

Their noodle soup is my husband's comfort food, and he enjoys it here.

I, on the other hand, prefer their stir-fried salted veggies with house-made BBQ pork.

Sometimes I have it with rice or rice noodles; either way, it's always delicious.

The place is always packed with regulars who come for breakfast or lunch.

You've to remind the staff because there's once they've forgot his order.

I remember visiting this coffee shop as a child, and recently, I had the opportunity to revisit it with my family.

It remains bustling with customers of all ages. Their signature dish, stir-fried salted veggies with yellow noodles, is still a crowd favourite and signature dish.

What sets their noodles apart is their non-sticky texture, which I particularly enjoy. During my visit last weekend, I wanted to try their sweet and sour pork.

To my delight, I was seated at the back of the kitchen, granting me a full view of their operations, including the preparation of their famous BBQ pork.

The pork was sliced and deep-fried to a crisp perfection, while the vegetables retained their freshness without being overcooked.

Although the dishes tended to be on the heavier and saltier side, they perfectly matched the local palate preferences. Service crews serve soup of the day.

Overall, it was a satisfying and savoury dining experience with my families. Will I coming back? Absolutely.

一盘招牌的保佛面就延续了三代，而且还依然保持良好的口碑，可想而知他们的实力可不同凡响。在多个朋友的推荐下，版主又一支公到亚庇 Bundusan 的大伙船吃驰名保佛面。

伙船有好几代餐馆，那为何版主偏偏选中大伙船呢? 理由很简单，要吃就吃最早最历史悠久的那一家，而且朋友群给的意见都一致，决定之后就从 Imago 出发，约六公哩路程，搭 grab 来回都要 rm25，车程都还贵过那碟保佛面。

天公不作美，雨水几乎要考验版主吃靓面的毅力。又是一句，大伙船的食物好不好吃? 看店里的人潮就是答案。座无虚席 ! 和往常一样要搭台才找到位子。好在厨师的炒面功夫一流，坐下不稍一回，那碟热腾腾香气扑鼻的保佛面就端到我面前，在大快朵颐前先让手机"摄"先。

听说他们的咸菜湿炒米粉也口碑不错，但版主比较钟爱 ori 原汁原味的保佛面，那样才可吃出那些年的味道。版主叫的是加料版，不然老远来到吃得不过瘾就很扫兴。面条、叉烧和烧肉都是出自自家作品，完全不是过码食材，这看得出店家对美食制作都要求相当。

经长篇大论之后，终于来到版主对食物给予的评语了。实话实说，没有想象中的期待，面条和汤汁的味道比较偏淡，但搭配味道较重的叉烧和烧肉后就变得 balance 了。烧肉就比京华的逊色，但叉烧就不错吃，味道也比较浓郁，是整盘面里版主的唯一最爱。不过这只是版主的个人意见，并不代表大众口味。
