🥪 Pretty Plate, Quiet Disappointment 🍳
Woo has implemented a dining rule for dine-in customers to avoid table disappointment for both locals and tourists. Each table is limited to 1 hour and 45 minutes, which is understandable during peak hours.
I ordered the Pesto Chicken Grilled Cheese and the Loaded for Mr Hubby, along with an extra sauce that thankfully came with no additional charge. Service crews were polite, attentive, and quick to clear the table.
Unfortunately, the Loaded was a real disappointment. The spiced scrambled egg lacked flavour entirely, while the truffle potato ball felt more like a greasy sponge with a slight burnt aftertaste.
To make things worse, the dish looked nothing like the one featured on their menu. Instead of the simple and elegant presentation advertised, what arrived felt rather rough and carelessly plated.
The Pesto Chicken Grilled Cheese was decent overall. The toast was nicely crisp, although the chicken breast leaned slightly dry. Thankfully, this time the sweet potato fries were perfect and not burnt.
During my previous visit, I ordered the Kimchick Grilled Cheese and it was terrific. Ironically, the sweet potato fries back then were badly burnt and tasted bitter. That’s why I rely heavily on the dipping sauce.
Frankly, it feels like some of their best menu items have been removed and replaced with weaker options. It’s almost like they have lost their magic touch somewhere along the way. Sigh.
Kthxbye.
