🥢Fuzhou Style Stir Fried Rice Cakes 🍚

Finally, they’re back after being closed for several months, and I couldn’t be happier. One of the dishes I missed most was their fried thick rice noodles, so returning here felt like revisiting an old favourite.

This time, we noticed a new addition to the menu—Fuzhou-style stir-fried rice cakes. Mr. Hubby was intrigued as it’s Fuzhou staple dish and he’s a Fuzhou, hence he decided to give it a try.

The rice cakes were pleasantly chewy, while the smoky wok hei aroma added an extra layer of depth. That slight char from the high heat brought everything together beautifully, making it a memorable dish.

As for the fried thick rice noodles, they were just as satisfying as I remembered—generous in portion, packed with flavour, crunchiness from the shredded veggies and comforting with every bite.

One thing I’ve noticed is the difference between the two cooks. Personally, I prefer the boss’s cooking over the lady owner’s. The boss have a better command of the wok, each dishes with wok hei and better overall.

Overall, it’s great to see them reopen their doors. The return of their signature dishes, along with new menu additions like the Fuzhou-style stir-fried rice cakes, gives regular customers even more reasons to come back.

Kthxbye.

🍜 Old Place, New Favourite 🥟

I’m officially converted to their thick rice noodles. I’ve always defaulted to the safer options, the local thin rice noodles or their housemade yellow noodles. Solid, reliable, no complaints.

But this time, the thick rice noodles stole the spotlight. The texture is chewy, satisfying, and way more filling than it looks. Despite that glossy, wet appearance, trust me, however it’s not greasy at all.

Instead, it hits that perfect middle ground, not dry and not heavy, just deeply comforting. I requested for extra veggies, and that move paid off. Clean flavours, balanced bite, and zero regret.

Their signature steamed dumplings are mandatory side, Mr Hubby felt the pork filling wasn’t as fresh as usual this round, but once dipped into black vinegar and soy sauce, I’m okay with that.

Kthxbye.

🍜 Fried Rice, Noodle & Dumplings Delight 😋

Mr Hubby really loves the Chinese-style fried rice, while I prefer the fried rice noodles with sliced pork and onions.

The portions are generous and absolutely worth the price! Our mutual favorite is the stir-fried fresh handmade noodles.

We’ve also tried the fried pork and pepper pork with rice before, but ironically, both dishes look and taste quite similar.

For your information, their second branch at 88 Market has closed down and been replaced by a Chinese store.

Kthxbye.

My bf be like: "so delicious, really delicious..."

I visited the new branch at 88 Market Place. The ambiance is much better than Luyang.

The boss, being from Hokkien, makes 沙县小吃 truly authentic.

We relish the 葱油拌面 & 炒粗粉; both are incredibly flavorful.

My boyfriend adores the 香拌云吞; I believe it's mixed with 麻酱 (peanut sauce).

Everyone, please give it a try!
