I’ve tried Ayam Gepuk at few places, but when I came across Pork Gepuk from this restaurant online, I was curious and wondering how it would taste.

They have a few different options to choose from, including traditional Hakka-style fried pork, Japanese Style panko tonkatsu and chicken katsu.

I went for the traditional fried pork, while Mr Hubby ordered the Tonkatsu. Meanwhile, I also ordered a fish head curry as side to share.

My fried pork took a while to arrive, but the pork was bland. My favourite part was dipping the pork into the runny egg yolk and having it with rice.

The house-made chilli wasn’t as fiery as I’d expected, and the cashew sauce was too watery compared to others I’ve tried elsewhere.

The fish head curry was yummy, the gravy was good that I would need extra rice to go with it. Overall, it was good meal and I’m glad I’ve tried.
