This is Mr. Hubby’s favourite spot whenever he’s craving fried chicken. At just MYR33.80 per adult, it’s a great value for an enjoyable dinner with unlimited servings.

However, the staff did not allow us to redeem the GrabFood Dine Out 15% discount when it was time to pay, which was quite misleading and disappointing.

On the bright side, the kimchi bean soup was noticeably less salty and spicy compared to our previous visits, making it much more enjoyable, especially me.

The fried chicken was fully satisfying though this time — super crispy on the outside, juicy tender inside, and it soaked up all the sauces I requested beautifully.

We finished six plates of chicken wings and thighs, also the whole kimchi bean stew pot. Mr. Hubby wasn’t a fan of the chicken tenders, as they were tough.

One issue we’ve consistently noticed over several visits is the soft bean curd. It has a distinctly sour taste that suggests it has gone bad. Yucks.

Mr Hubby had been craving for deep-fried chicken long time and he stumbled upon a Facebook post about a spot offering unlimited refills of soup, noodles, and fried chicken, our weekend dinner was instantly decided.

Once he placed our order, the service crew politely checked if we wanted everything on the menu. Apparently, some previous diners got overly ambitious then ended up wasting food and paid MYR100 penalty!

So, I wisely suggested just stick to the soup, noodles, and fried chicken instead. I went for the chicken wings in soy garlic, chicken tenders with honey butter, and thigh meat in buttermilk since the creamy onion was out of stock.

The highlight, the Budae Jigae, came on the table with redness—a kimchi-based soup rich with bean paste, enoki mushrooms, king oyster mushrooms, sausages, tteokbokki, and topped off with two slices of cheese.

The first sip of the soup hit me hard—it was way too salty and spicy for my liking, however Mr Hubby absolutely loved it. The fried chicken arrived soon after, warm and generously coated in the sauces I have chosen.

Personally speaking, the flavours might tasted quite the similar across the board for me, anyhow the crispiness of the assorted fried chickens, also the quick service definitely scored extra points.

Both taste good but taste similar 🤣 quite big portion and the seaweed rice is good. Did not try those “authentic” korean food because 2 pax couldn’t finish it 🤣 maybe next time

The Spicy Yangnyeom Tender is COLD, COLD, COLD, big portion, the 5-1 fingers punya is crispier & more yummy
