š· May LARD Have Mercy & It Was ABURI-licious š£

Iāve buying their salmon sushi from Pick n Pay regularly and I found it better than average and fresh, so I decided to visit their restaurant to explore more of their menu.
I had tried their food a few years back then and I thought it was just okay, anyhow my recent dine-in experience completely changed my perceptionā¦
I ordered their signature Buta Kaku Ni ā Kyushu-style braised organic pork with savoury sweet soy sauce and served with steamed white rice, it was mind-blowing!
The pork was incredibly tender and beautifully caramelised. The lard melted effortlessly in my mouth. The buttery aftertaste lingered on my palate heavenly.
To satisfy my sushi cravings, I also had a plate from their special aburi mentaiko series ā salmon, maguro, tako, ika, and ebi. It was nicely torched, creamy and hit the spot.
Mr Hubby went for the Ninniku Yaki Meshi, garlic fried rice. The subtle burnt taste combined with the rich flavour of fried garlic made it incredibly satisfying.
Unfortunately, the ramen series with braised pork wasnāt available during our visit, however that just gives me a reason to return. Definitely looking forward to it!
