After days of waiting for the perfect weather since Chinese New Year's Eve, the 5th day of CNY finally brought the sunshine we had been longing for. We'd been yearning to feel the soft sands beneath our feet and release the electromagnetic stress accumulated from all the time spent with gadgets. It's said that stepping on sand helps discharge this built-up tension, leaving us feeling rejuvenated and grounded.
We departed at 4:00 PM from Kota Kinabalu, eager for the serene experience awaiting us at Shangri-La Rasa Ria. The drive was around 30 minutes, and as we neared the resort, we couldn't help but run to the beach. The sight of its long stretch of fine, soft, and clean sand greeted us like a long-lost friend, making every step feel like a reconnection to something pure and grounding.
The horizon was painted in shades of golden-orange as the sun began its descent, casting a warm, tranquil glow across the water. We strolled along the shoreline, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere, feeling the soft waves gently lap at our feet, simply enjoying the present.
In life, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, constantly rushing towards the next task or goal. It's good to step away from the busyness and let the world’s beauty inspire us to live fully in every moment.
P/S: We were glad to bump into a lion dance group that was inviting guests to take photos with their majestic golden lions.
