One of the food stalls here draws a loyal crowd daily — all for their signature fish noodle. It’s so popular that I’ve to come here as early as 6am just to get the fresh fish slices, which are in limited supply. If you come any later, you’ll get the deep-fried version instead.
During my previous visit, I tried their asam kari with handmade noodles, which was impressive — tangy, spicy, and full of depth. This round, I switched it up with rice noodles. The wait was long, since there’s only one chef manning the stove and another person taking orders.
Despite the wait, the reward is well worth it. The soup is thick, bold, and bursting with flavour — perfectly balancing sourness and spicy. It’s the kind of comforting bowl that keeps you coming back, even if it means sacrificing a bit of sleep.
Kthxbye.
