Mr Hubby & me had dinner at the well-known mamak in Lintas, and since it wasn’t crowded yet, the boss and service crews were attentive to us from the start.

We ordered the classics menu — roti canai, garlic cheese naan, and fried rice chicken Tom Yum (extra spicy).

The roti canai came out crispy and flaky, I like it, however the excitement quickly dropped when I realized the dhal had already gone bad — quite a disappointment.

The garlic cheese naan was fluffy and served with lentils and mayo; it was decent, but nothing “wow” about it.

As for Mr. Hubby’s fried rice, it was alright. I was expecting a strong kick, but the flavour was faint and didn’t quite match the “extra spicy” promise.

The service was attentive and the roti canai stood out on its own, the rest of the dishes fell short of expectations.
