I was intrigued when I saw my foodie friends and families raving about this new burger x gelato spot on Instagram, and I decided to give it a try with Mr Hubby.
The restaurant is located in Sinsuran (behind Le Meridien Hotel), the restaurant’s exterior design stands out among the other shop lots, giving it a distinctive vibe.
However, parking was total a nightmare, especially on a Friday night. If one is planning to visit on a weekend, be prepared for the parking struggle issue.
Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was super hot and loud music. The music was blasting, making it hard to hear the cashier, and I had to raise my voice to talk.
There were only two mini tables with rolled cushion-type seats near the wall for customer to lean or sit on them, which wasn’t ideal for a relaxed dining experience.
The menu is simple, offering just three types of burgers (beef or chicken) and hand smashed potatoes as a side dish and soft drink for an additional charge.
I ordered the 210g Aussie double beef patty burger. The patties were thin like tissue, they had a good cheesy beef flavour and weren’t tough to chew.
The brioche bun was buttery fluffy. However, the chicken burger didn’t impress me. The chicken was thickly battered, and the texture wasn’t to my liking.
As for the hand smashed potatoes, they were overcooked and had a bitter aftertaste that I didn’t enjoy at all. The combo set I ordered came with a soft drink.
While the beef burger had its merits, anyhow the uncomfortable seating, loud and hot atmosphere, and overcooked sides made it hard to fully enjoy the meal.
Kthxbye.
