Mashawi is an Arabic word which means barbecued/roasted meat or poultry on an open fire.

It's a classic Arabian staple cuisine eat with either pita bread, nasi mandhi or french fries with salad.

I've been here years ago, anyhow their foods & beverages improved after my recent visit last week.

Mashawi serve their dishes in simple yet homely style with fresh ingredients & affordable price.

Here's what we ordered:
Nasi mandhi with lamb stew & arabic salad
The lamb, potato & carrot was tender, anyhow I got more bone instead of meat. However, the rice portion is generous, aromatic with hint of bbq & spices scent.

Pita bread with beef served with french fries & housemade dipping sauce
Mr.Boyfriend likes it so much, he even said it's better than BK burger.

Falafel with tahini
Deep fried mashed chickpeas with Middle East condiments toasted hulled sesame.
It taste spices & left spicy after taste.

Tamar milk
It's ice blended kumar with milk. I superb love it!
Perfect sweetness & smooth~

Chai milk tea (not in the picture)
Strong tea taste.

Service crews are polite & helpful. It is kinda warm inside the restaurant despite with ceiling air conditioners & fans.

They've opened a new branch at Tanjung Aru. They're available in GrabFood. They accept cash & duitnow for payment.
