Taste like home ๐Ÿก

This is an underrated hidden gem of authentic Korean restaurant located same floor & shoplots behind Familia, Wisma Merdeka.

This restaurant serve flavourful home-style meals. Their menu merely 2 pages board with simple illustration with price listed.

I ordered steamed pork ribs, bibimbap, kimchi soup and kimchi pancake. They served us side dishes like seaweed soft bean curd soup & kimchi.

There's no fancy plating whatsoever, just typical homecooked meals plating with love from the chef themselves. Staffs are helpful as well.

Bibimbap served in big portion, it's enough for 2 person to share. It's best match with the kimchi & seaweed soft bean curd soup!

Their kimchi pancake is thick version. It's pleasantly delicious, greasy yet crispy. It served with dipping sauce to enhance the flavour.

Their kimchi & kimchi soup deserve to be highlighted. Kimchi is well fermented & crispy, also the kimchi soup is savoury & spicy.

I'm surprised the steamed pork ribs taste exactly how my mom cooked at home! The pork taste soft & easy to pull & perfect match with white rice.

During my eating, I saw families of Korean having meals there as they've been familiar with the owner & been regular customers.

There are staff who dropped by during lunch hour & ordered takeaway. Their operating hours are from 11:30am until sold out, mostly before 4pm.

I've been there once around 3pm last year, they were cleaning and starting to close. They accept cash only for payments.

Soooo spicy wow!

Itโ€™s a cute little restaurant located on third floor of Wisma Merdeka, hiding behind Familia Shop.
Me and my friend ordered Kimchi Jiggae and Kimchi Pancake. Comes with rice and soy bean paste soup as well.

Kimchi Jiggae - Wow this is super spicy but the taste were super kaw, alot of kimchi and some beef inside. Even a person who likes to eat spicy like me also cannot handle the soupโ€™s spiciyness.
Kimchi Pancake - Total of 8pcs and they tasted alright, abit on the thicker side and chewy.

Service was quick and the food were homecoook style meals, would recommend to try this place at least once.

Hidden ๐Ÿ’Ž in Wisma Merdeka

This Korean restaurant (non-halal) is a hidden gem ๐Ÿ˜ that got overshadowed by many food places in KK town area, especially inside Wisma Merdeka, but I guess only people who works in town area would know of this place ๐Ÿ˜‰

I went to this place for a rather late lunch with my sister after I got my first dose of vaccination back in July 2021. We shared:

1. Kimbap
- Very classic korean food, not spicy, perfect for me, cuz I can't eat too spicy

2. Bibimbap
- Lots of vege, very good, cuz fibre helps you digest, but their gochujang was quite spicy for me ๐Ÿฅต

3. Kimchi Jeon (Kimchi Pancake)
- Rather thick (like a mini burger patty) for my preference, I like them thin, but still for a sharing dish, it's very worth to its price ๐Ÿ˜‰

4. Korean Tea
- Some light drink to cancel out the guilt for eating too much ๐Ÿคญ

Overall, I love the whole meal. Although I was ๐Ÿฅต from eating the gochujang and kimchi (yes, their kimchi very the spicy, unlike the kimchis I had before), but yet I still feel my heart, warm, and my stomach, full. And the best dish of the whole meal goes to the complimentary soybean paste soup ๐Ÿคค I can have soup any time, any day.

For the ambience of the place, very homey vibe, except the ventilation wasn't that good. However, the owner's daughter that served us, she was very nice to us, made sure we had a good meal โœจ
