Here I present you : the speechless, Waterfront
My second time visit, both were unpleasant.
1st (year 2019) :
Celebrating friend’s birthday, I called to make appointment and forgot to inform them I would bring my own cake. Upon arrival, I was informed that I need to pay corkage charge for the cake, RM10/person! I didn’t expect all that coming as it’s very uncommon for restaurant in KK to charge corkage fee on cake (not even by a famous Italian restaurant run by an Italian family in Perth). Tried to negotiate with them as it was my first time there, but the Italian guy said if I was not happy about the charges, it’s ok for me to “come next time”. Worried on ruining my friend’s birthday, at last we paid, 4 person, RM30 extra for bringing in the cake, he “kind-heartedly” waived the birthday girl’s corkage fee, well thanks. Food was ok that time.
2nd (Dec’21) :
My friend called to make appointment, we were requested (that Italian guy again) to pay RM50 deposit per person, transferred the money to their bank account, showed them the receipt, only then they would accept our booking. Btw, there’s no refund on the deposit paid, means you need to order food with value more than that.
Well, since there’s so many rules and procedures to follow, you must be expecting some heavenly authentic Italian food right? Joke on you, worst pasta I have tried so far.
Spaghetti Smoked Salmon - salty, shouldn’t red sauce be more on the sour side? Nope, it’s salty.
Penne 4 cheese - Expected it to be nice and creamy? Nope, SALTY. We couldn’t even finish it.
Pizza Margherita - Salty…
Tiramisu - Dedicated all the marks to it, the only good thing in this restaurant. Oh, and the sea view too.
I am not a very picky person on food, but this restaurant opened up a whole new world to me, price not cheap either. They changed their menu compared to my first visit, and it’s getting worse.
Was the chef high that night? We couldn’t be sure, but there’s a feedback from another unlucky person this year, again, SALTY AS EVER..
