Previously they have a kiosk at Coastal Coffee Damai and now they finally open up their new branch at Bundusan area, near to A&W. 

Single scoop - RM10 (Additional charge for premium flavor)

There are a variety of flavor and I just note down those that my friend and I have tried: 
1) Raspberry Yogurt - Sour & Refreshing, best suit with sweet / creamery flavor 

2) Pistachio - Creamy texture with a rich flavor of pistachio, although it’s a bit too sweet for me, but  

3) Mint Chocolate - Spearmint chocolate with no coloring, not too sweet and taste  just right for mint chocolate lover ❤️

4) Mocha - Friend No. 1 said it’s a MUST

5) Coconut Lychee - Tropical flavor,  Friend No. 2 like it 

Plenty more to try… 

Cakes and beverage are available at their cafe too. 


Gelato, Bundusan 

Heard there was a newly open Thai restaurant in Jesselton Mall, went there for a try with friend. This is considered one of the WORST decision I have made this year 🤣

First, food serving is SLOW. The restaurant was not full house during our visit, just 50% occupied. Ordered three dishes, waited almost  1 hour for the first 2 dishes, like French cuisine, you need to finish one, and wait for another one to serve…20-30 mins gap for each dish. At last we cancelled our last dish… 

Second, the TASTE and PORTION
1) Green Curry Beef with rice  (RM48)
The curry tasted okay, nothing fascinating, but the beef omg, tasted like it had been cooked for 24 hours, so tough. And the portion is very small. 

2) Salted Egg Squid (RM38) 
Do not be fooled by the menu picture, strictly for illustration purpose, the portion is SMALL, VERY VERY SMALL (when I showed my friends the photo, they thought I took picture after I ate some of it 🙂 NOPE, this is exactly how it look like when it’s served). The squid tasted hard and chewy, clearly overcooked.

3) Lime Honey Iced Tea (RM7)
Forgive me, it tasted like Lipton Tea…

Third, the PRICE. Wow, after a 10% service charge, it cost me RM103.40. I don’t mind paying high price for the food, but we only got 30% full after these two dishes, it’s a bit ridiculous… 

Went to another restaurant afterwards to settle our dinner, too hungry.

Heartache, Jesselton Mall 

Previously in Suria, and now they relocated to shop row next to port. 

We ordered:
1) 脆皮金龙鸡 (Half) (RM65) 
- Chicken skin stuffed with fish paste and deep fried it. Crispy outside, tender and flavorful inside, yummy 😋

2) 咸蛋湿奶油虾球 (Small) (RM55) 
Prawn Ball with Creamy Butter & Salted Egg Yolk.

3) 上汤苋菜 (Small) (RM35)
- Chinese Spinach in Superior Soup, my typical ‘must-order’ dish in Chinese restaurant. The dish tasted nice, but hope the restaurant provide more century egg next time, couldn’t find much century egg inside 🥹

4) 黄金馒头 Deep Fried Mantou (RM1.50/pcs)
- Minimum order 6 pcs. 😋

5) Steamed White Rice (RM3/bowl)
6) Watermelon Juice (RM15) 
7) Lemon Tea (RM8) 

Complimentary Dessert - Watermelon 

Portion considered quite generous for three person.

Aircon and spacious environment, there are VIP rooms available with entertainment facilities (Pool table / Karoeke machine / Arcade machine), not sure about the minimum spend though.
 
Price on the high range, 
10% service charge and 6% SST applied. 


Atas Chinese Restaurant, Jalan Gaya

A small restaurant located at household area. 

1) Phad Thai (Chicken/Pork/Seafood)
 - Personally think it tatsed a bit sweet, not really up to my liking. But the prawns were fresh. 

2) Pineapple fried rice (Chicken/Pork/Seafood)
 - Felt disappointed with the fried rice as it tasted bland and lack of seasoning, didn’t see much pineapple inside though 🥹Deep fried chicken were however crispy and flavorful, like it. 

3) Ton Yum Pork Soup 
- Spicy and sour, the best among three dishes. 

4) Thai Green Milk Tea 
- Can get the exact same taste at Kopi Ping. 

Aircon environment and reasonable price.



Thai Food with Reasonable Price, Cempaka Square 

Went here with friends for weekend TGIS, good ambience and relaxing environment, suitable place for a date (all were couples when we dine in 😂)

1) Bone-in Pork Chop (RM30/100 gram) 
 - Certified organic pork served with mashed potato, Guiness Jus & sweet fig. The quality of the meat is great and the taste is interesting, surprised to find pork lard in the dish, my favorite 😍mashed potato is nice too.

2) Lamp Chops (RM52)
- Took my friend awhile to cut it as it has too many bone. Grass fed lamb, again, I think the meat is great, matched perfectly with mint sauce. 

3) Scallop Pasta (RM49)
- Scallops are nice, but the sauce is too thick, with an extremely strong taste and smell of coconut cream, a big ❌❌❌ for me. 

4) Garlic fries (RM19)
- Fries infused with garlic oil, 👍🏻

Overall, the price is on a high range and a 10% service charge applied. 

Good ambience, Lintas

Reached the shop around 9.30am and it’s already full of people. 

Good variety of Ngiong Chap (春卷、猪腐、云吞、酿豆腐、咖喱豆腐卜、酿茄子、猪皮、肉丸 etc) and the portion is great. 

2 types of sauce for  Kon Lou noodle:  Shallot oil or soy sauce, personally prefer shallot oil. 

For some people, the soup / sauce might taste “sweet”, chili sauce will be a good seasoning for it 👍🏻

Small space and felt crowded. 

Good portion, Jalan Cendawan 

Passed by few times (shop located same row with Borneo Noodle House) and finally decided to try it one day, no regret.

1) Bimbimbap (No meat) (RM20)
- Appetizing and colouful combination of vegetables, seaweed, kimchi, egg yolk and steamed white rice 😍 The sesame oil and Gochujang sauce give extra credit to the dish too. Ask for separate sauce if worry it’s too salty. By far the best Bimbimbap I have tried in KK. You can try Dolsot (Sizzling stonepot) Bimbimbap if you prefer with-meat option.

2) Tofu soup (RM20)
- Hot and spicy soup, the owner told me that they have their own recipe for the soup. For me it’s a bit salty, goes really well with rice.

3) Dopbap pork (RM15)
- Mouth-watering sliced pork with strong garlic taste, perfect match with kimchi and rice 😝 The portion is smaller compared to Bimbimbap.

4) Korean steam dumpling (pork) (RM15) 
- Unlike Chinese dumpling, the wrapping style look more like soup dumpling (Xiao Long Bao) but not as juicy. The taste is a bit too bland for me, not really my liking.

5) Pear Juice (RM5)
- Musy try! I order everytime I visit.

Would like to try their Jajangmyeon, BBQ pork and Roast Chicken (the shop owner always introduce me their roast chicken 🤔) next time.

Attentive owner, really good service. 

No air-con environment, will be hot if going during lunch hour. 

No service charge and SST 👍🏻

No-regret Bimbimbap, Citymall 

Saw some good reviews of this bakery and went there 2 weeks ago in the afternoon, sadly all pastries / croissant / cornet were already sold out in the morning. So, I waited in front of the shop at 8.55am this time 😂 

The moment when the shop open, people walking in, line up in the shop like it’s a 网红店. 

We ordered:
1) Cornet (1-4 stick RM6/stick, 5-9 stick RM5.50/stick, 10 & more RM5/stick)
- Crispy layer outside filling with cold pastry cream, the cream tasted so smooth, yummy. I think it would be a good match with coffee / tea. Recommend for desert lover. 2 stick per person should be just right if you like creamy stuff.

2) Plain croissant (RM7)
- You can taste the richness of butter at your first bite, crispy and flaky 👍🏻 

3) Choco croissant (RM9.50)
4) Apple Danish (RM10)

Small space, there’s only 3 2-seats table in the shop. Preferably take away. 



Cornet & Croissant, Taman Delima

Came here 2 weeks ago, revisit again today, and BOOM guess what, the price increase. Flipping through the menu, all dishes increased RM3-RM6, even normal rice set 碟头饭 (eg. tofu rice set) can cost you around RM15, that’s just crazy.

Reluctant to order rice set, at last we chose:-
1) Caviar Crabmeat Beancurd (RM22)
- Portion definitely got smaller, 5 pieces beancurd in small size, excuse me?  🤣

2) Pork Cutlet Cheese Baked Rice (RM25)
- Tasted okay, but the rice underneath still kinda cold, it’s not baked long enough.

10% service charge and 6% SST applied, so this meal cost us RM55.20.

Dear boss, boleh claim OT meal allowance tak? 🥹 Not many affordable options available at city area during night time leh…

 

Inflation is CRAZY, Jalan Gaya 

Ordered: 
1) Peking Duck (whole duck)
- Serve together with duck soup (my favourite), scallions, pancake (wrap) and sauce. Improved compared to my last visit, finally they slice the duck into thinner slices.
 
2) Fried Mantau 
- Carbohydrateeeee, but who cares 🥴

3) Sweet and Sour Pork 咕噜肉
- So-so, not recommend.

4) Ginger Spring Onion Fish Fillet 姜葱鱼片
- Tasted nice, the fish slices were fresh

5) 大白菜

Didn’t manage to take photos for all dishes as we were too hungry that time, finished our plates in 20 minutes time 🥴

Fully aircon but seats are quite packed. Booking needed even on weekdays as the restaurant was almost full at 7pm when we came in.

Peking Duck, Tanjung Aru 

Came here to satisfied my craveness for tomato soup after exercise last week, then revisit again just after 5 days 😆

Due to inflation, fresh fish slice + fried fish slice  mee Hoon (small) increased price from RM18 to RM20 🥲, but the portion still 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Taste still remain the same, my favourite tomato soup 😍.

Mixed 鱼什 (RM13 + RM4 add on 加料 + RM1 milk）
- 加料(Add on) really worth it! Compared to my friend who ordered normal portion (RM13 - picture not taken), my bowl look luxurious, full of fish ball, 鱼腐(fish tofu), fried fish slices, 鱼条 etc. Recommend 👍🏻

Mixed 鱼什 this time, Penampang 

Located at corner shop (you can see it straight away when you turn into the Lorong)

My friend’s childhood memory, she used to eat here often when she was kid.

We ordered:
1) Konlo Mee with Beef Tendon 牛肉牛筋面 (RM12)
Beef tendon tasted niceeee, jelly like texture yet still contain bit of chewiness, beef was tender too. Noodles match well with the Ham Choi and doesn’t feel really MSG / salty. Personally think that the portion was a bit small, maybe I was too hungry this morning.

2) Konlo Mee with Century Egg Dumpling (RM9 + RM1 tambah sayur)
- Dumpling tasted okay too, but of course can’t fight with the beef tendon bah 😂

Open space and normal kopitiam environment. Easy to find parking on Sunday, no sure about weekdays.
