I know it doesn't matter by now because they've probably change the menu already, but whatever, here's my verdict on the food that I've tried there on early of September 2021 π A time where they promote their lunch sets menu. So, my sister and I had:
1. Chips
- Served before the main meal, damn the guacamole π€€ not enough for my sister and I to dip
2. Lamb Combinado
- Minced lamb well-seasoned. Love the potato chunks on the side π€€
3. Chicken Combinado
- Chicken was very flavourful with the spices. The grilled bell pepper π very good
4. Churros
- Churros itself not bad, crunchy on the outside. I like the chocolate sauce more, the salted caramel was fine for me too, but I don't really like anything that's caramel. Let's be real, 3 small pieces of churros for one person, you think enough?
Iced Lemon Tea
- Refreshing to clear your palate π
Overall, the whole meal was great, very flavourful, except the portion was slightly small for me, but for RM18 per set (at that time), considered fair price for a three-course meal + a drink. The rice very wangi, got some spices in it, definitely not plain rice. K, enough about the food, idk about y'all but on that day that I went, the service was dang slow, they did apologise for the delay, so all is good. As for the ambience, it was chilly that day due to the heavy rain, some colour lights (it's definitely a vibe), but the question is, would I go back there another time? I'd like to, but every time I pass by there, it's full house, probably peak hours π I'll probably visit again, only if my friends suggest to go there
5 glasses for 3 pax. No. 2 & 3 are actually Flippin-Tastic Promo - 2 Glasses of Cocktails
1. Martini
- My guy friend had this for his first glass, he requested for extra dry with olive. I took a sip and the dry vermouth was rather strong for my preference
2. South China Sea Punch
- My girl friend had this, again I tried a sip as well and the initial taste was weird for me, probably because of 2 different types of rum were used in it, but the after-taste tasted really refreshing and tangy from the passionfruit, mandarin orange and fresh lime
3. Earl Grey Martini
- I had this and it was so smooth and milky, like drinking earl grey milk tea, but with booze. What I really liked about this was the fragrance from the earl grey. The smoothness was actually because of the egg white
4. Roku Gin (Glass)
- My guy friend had 2 glasses of this because he really liked it. I took a sip as well, and I was speechless for this gin, because personally I like a really good gin
Overall, their cocktails are actually pricier than other places, but I still enjoy my night there. DJ was great, he was making sure my friends and I were having a good time, and the playlist was lit. Although it was loud, but my friends and I still could talk (loudly) to each other π
Went for a drink, vibe are good, service is good too. Ordered White Rabbit π which taste smooth for me π
good vibes, good music, nice brazilian inspired brutalist interior, lush tropical planting. but strong rubbish smell from the DBKK across the street and noisy from the traffic. Nice flavour ideas and quite authentic spices but a bit bland.
The kitchen staff should consider cooking with more spices, or add chicken/vegetable stock for deeper flavours to appreciate the dish as a whole.
The food is alright. We ordered the lunch menu, chicken and lamb. The chicken is amazing but lamb has a bit of smell. It came with churros and drinks as complimentary.
I paid rm36 in total.
The space is a bit packed and hot probably only 2 aircons were on. However, the service is superb. kudos to the team. π π¦ΈββοΈ π¦ΈββοΈ π§§ Overall, I think it is worth it and will come back again.
