Mr Hubby and me visited this place during Chinese New Year holidays after seeing this laksa heavily promoted on social media, but it was a huge disappointment.
There was no service when we sat down. Eventually I had to walk to the counter by myself to place our orders while all the staffs members were busy chatting while cutting chillies like a family reunion.
The food looked nothing like the photos online. The laksa broth was sweet with starchy taste, lacking the rich, aromatic flavour we expected. I added tendon, but it was tough and chewy instead of tender.
Even certified as halal ngiu chap, it was way below average and not even worth the hype. Considering the quality, the prices felt overpriced.
The most concerning part was I watching one of the female staff member coughed into her gloved hand and continue handling the chopped chillies without changing her gloves. Yucks!
Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of the social media hype. Between the poor service, underwhelming food, questionable hygiene practices and high prices, we won’t be returning nor suggest to anyone.
