The cromboloni is a clever fusion of a croissant and a bomboloni, also known as the "Supreme" in New York, which gained popularity in the 2020s.
It's made from circular croissant dough baked until crispy brown, then filled with pastry cream, and topped with different flavour of ganache.
An enthusiasm foodie shared her favorite and premium pastries of a local bakery with a new flavour cromboloni - pistachio featuring an oozing filling.
Intrigued by her review, I went to grab one and paired with a hot genmai latte. The cromboloni comes in various flavors and is reheated before served.
Flaky, buttery layers of crossaint with the soft, pillowy interior of the bomboloni with warm and creamy pistachio cream. Absolutely palete indulging!
They are using Niko Neko brand of
Genmai, however I found it too sweet for my taste. Limited tables and seats inside with air-conditioned environment.
