After checking some good reviews about it, I decided to drop by & check out myself.
Their operating hours are from
Brunch 10:30am-2:30pm,
Rest hours 3pm-5pm,
Dinner from 5pm-9:30pm.
I reached there before 5pm, waited outside approximately 10 minutes, the restaurant is still closed & staffs are nowhere to be seen.
When I almost leave, the staffs switched on the lights & opened the door. When I entered, there are some of the staffs were just started to eat their dinner.
The restaurant serve seafood, deer (temporary unavailable), ostrich, veggies but no pork. Limited dishes & drinks available.
Here's what I ordered & arranged based from fine until least favourite dishes
Steamed sliced sea bass
- fresh sliced fish with soy sauce base, match well with a bowl of steamed white rice
Deep fried salt & pepper squid
- taste like ordinary deep fried squid, I think the chef has forgotten the salt & pepper. Least plating is decent.
Deep fried bitter gourd with salted egg yolk
- thick sliced of bitter gourd, greasy taste afterwards
Stir fried sabah veggie (sayur manis)
- oddly this come in 2 types & prices. Veggies leaves cost MYR18, veggies leaves & stem cost MYR28
- merely could taste the veggies
Sizzling stuffed eggplant
- ordinary stuffed eggplants with gravy on top & served on sizzling plate
- gravy are superb salty
Kam Heong prawns
- the prawns taste no freshness, so the chef cooked it with superb heavy taste, thus the prawns taste oddly disgusting.
When I proceed to the counter & make payment, the total bill was out of my calculations. Then I inquired with the staffs why price for certain dishes are higher from the menu.
Their replies were they didn't update the latest price in the menu...
As a customer, I felt violated.
