This Chinese restaurant was once one of the hottest spots on social media, with countless local food bloggers praising it and recommending it as a must-try.

After two failed attempts because of the long queues, I finally managed to visit on my third try. Looking back, the wait probably wasn’t worth it.

The first red flag appeared before we even ordered. More than half of the menu was covered with white cellophane tape and marked “unavailable.

That leaving us with very limited choices like potato noodles and rice hence we ended up ordering the braised pork rice and pork knuckle rice.

The menu photos looked incredibly appetising and mouth-watering. Reality, the dishes served were both completely different story.

The dishes arrived looking dull and far less appealing than advertised, with disappointingly small portions that barely felt like a complete meal.

For the price charged, the value was honestly shocking. It felt like we were paying for the photos and the social media hype rather than the food itself.

Pork knuckle was passable, at best acceptable however the braised pork slices were so thin they felt more like edible bookmarks than meat.

Taste-wise, nothing stood out. To make things worse, Mr Hubby and I were still hungry after finishing our meals and had to stop somewhere else for another meal.

It really makes me wonder what happened to this place. From a restaurant that was once impossible to get into, it was now quiet with plenty of empty tables.
