The saying goes "The higher the expectations, the bigger the disappointments" came true yesterday 🙃

So, my sister and I have been planning and anticipating to go try out this so called "very established Korean restaurant that serves Korean authentic cuisine" about 2 weeks ago. And we finally went there yesterday 11:30am as they opened (shown in Google), we got there and called for someone to attend to us, no one responded for about 5 minutes, we could just walked around like it's our own house, 很像不要开门做生意 🙃 K, then finally got 1 staff attended to us. The whole place is a semi-open air restaurant, got aircon and fans, the staff didn't even bother to switch them on, my sister had to switch on the stand fan by herself 🙃 Lots of mosquitoes and flies flying around

When it was time to order, we asked the staff to give us some recommendations on what dishes to order. 问了等于没问 🙃 K, ordered a few dishes and before you read down below, YES I know pictures in menu are for illustration purposes only, but the deception tho

We ordered:
Banchan (RM20)
- Menu pictures got squid, but came out just kimchi, vege, fish cakes and anchovies 🙃

Bibimbap (RM29)
- We ordered Regular (RM26), but they gave us Stone Pot (RM29) 🙃 Taste so-so, at least not spicy

Kimchi Pancake (RM32)
- Not enough batter, stick on the pan. This doesn't even look similar to the picture in menu 🙃 I only had 1 slice, cuz it's a NO for me

Galbi-jjim (RM42)
- The beef short ribs very soft and tender, the only good dish, but the portion so small, got 4 short ribs, but 2 got meat, 2 just bone 🥲😭 Y'all can do your math on how "worthy" this dish is 🙃

As we ate, the more itchy we got 🥲 Before we finished our meal, my sister saw got a deadass fly between the anchovies and kimchi pancake she just put in her plate 🙃 My sister didn't want to make it a big deal initially, but I told my sister to show to the staff later when we make payment, at least let her know we're not okay with the lack of hygiene. When we made our payment, my sister pointed out the fly said it's not clean, the staff just acted like she didn't see anything and just waited for us to pay 🙃 The receipt shown to us got 10% service charges (RM12.30). Halo, what service besides the tea!? 🙃

Overall, I won't go back to this place. Konon established for 30 years, konon authentic Korean cuisine, well it sure as heck is very authentic... authentically bad, not even the beef short ribs can compensate my sister and I's experience in this meal

My sister & I ordered:
- Kimchi Pancake (RM32)
- Bibimbap (RM29)
- Galbijim (beef stew) (RM42)
- Banchan (RM20)

+ 10% service tax (RM12.30)
Total: RM135.30

The story went like this, we reached this place at 11.30am on a Sunday, the gate was wide open for us to enter their driveway but no one was there in the building to respond. We can walk around the restaurant as if it’s our house, no waiter, no one is around. 🚩 We had to shout for like 5 mins to look for someone to serve us or make sure they are opening for business. 🚩

So a waitress finally responded us, told us to wait for awhile. So we waited for few minutes, and the waitress served us the menu with no fan switched on at the restaurant. I had to switch on the stand fan on my own. 🚩 it was quite hot & humid so I requested the waitress to switch on the ceiling fan above us. Instead of doing so, she just dragged the stand fan that i switched on earlier, nearer to our table. 🤷🏻‍♀️🚩

When we’re ordering, we requested nicely for chef’s recommendation since it is our first visit here, the waitress just told us the usual bibimbap or korean BBQ dish. No further explanation or what sort. 🚩

Then comes the environment of the restaurant. It is an semi-open air restaurant with no ceiling fan switched on after I requested. Mosquitoes 🦟 & flies 🪰 are flying around us, so annoying. An aedes mosquito even landed on my arm. 🚩

I spotted a mosquito stick / incense under the table & told the waitress that they are many mosquitoes biting us & flying around us but she didn’t light up the incense for us. 🚩

Then our food came, everything is served hot & look delightful at first, until i saw the banchan (side dish) served, the menu displayed one of the banchan is octopus but our banchan are just vege, fishcakes & anchovies. Got fooled by the menu’s photo illustration . 🙃🚩

The kimcha pancake is just bad. Not enough batter. It was sticking on the pan. 🚩 the bibimpap was alright only.

The beef stew tastes the nicest but with this price, i rather have it at Hi Seoul with free refillable banchan too. 🚩

Now here’s the best part, when I almost finish my meal, i spot something black with wings & black furry legs - 🪰. This beautiful creature of God just lying there peacefully, motionless next to my kimchi pancake & anchovies banchan on my meal on a beautiful Sunday with the company of my beloved sister. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 It looked so similar like the burnt anchovies / burnt kimchi pancake. 🚩🥲🥲🥲

I wasn’t mad at first. I decided to pay my bill, leave, pray to God for no diarrhoea & never return. But my sister insisted me to show the dead fly 🪰 on the white table to the waitress so that the waitress can see it clearly. Guess what, the same waitress just have a look at it, gave no response, showing me the bill & continue to collect my money. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩😡😡😡

Until i saw the additional 10% service tax at the bottom of the bill, i got furious. What sort of service did you provide?! 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
