Makarios Book Café

I came here to do my work because the place offers charging stations. There were a number of options for lunch. Other than that, they seemed to have run out of cakes and desserts. Not sure why.
I ordered the RM25 seaweed and beef soup. It’s meh and wasn’t worth the price. Miserable strands of cheap seaweed and beef. Maybe I should have ordered the pasta or rice set.
Since I’m not here for the food (or drinks), I don’t mind that the decor and atmosphere makes up for the sub-standard food.

The fish n chips are rly tasty! The fish is CRISP and fresh, tho i have to take points off for the mashed potatoes , i thought they would use gravy for its topping but they used ketchup instead,,
Its not a bad combo, unexpected but not like good at the same time, im kinda having mixed opinions on this

Anyway, the drinks are pretty good, overall quite on the pricey side, but a cute place to hangout, might come once in a while to try a diff dish tho

Went there to work and study—wasn’t expecting much from the food since I mainly went for the nice environment. And yep, the matcha latte didn’t surprise me 😆. I couldn’t even finish it—maybe because I ordered it with no sugar, lol.

I’ll definitely go back for the ambience. They offer lots of books to read for free 🫶🏻 and I really love the beautiful view through the big glass windows!

They changed their crew and barista now, expected some taste difference but really hugeee different!
Still remain their bean’s taste but now taste too sour..7/10 ⭐️ and not hot
Aircon also not open very cold..maybe new staff didnt open that cold also? Hmm anyone have more feedback?

The environment is stunning! The chairs are comfy to sit, I value that very much as I need to sit for a long time to work.

Coffee and matcha are decent. The sweet potato fries are pretty good as well
