Pretext
This brand new cafe is located within a brand new hotel within Sutera Avenue. The interior designs looked lavish, so was the price tag that ensued. All items are subject to SST, 6% and service charges, 10% (not counted into the price tag in the menu).
I’ve seen their advertisements, might have been triggered to try their cafe. And so I did. With many options of drinks more than their food, it’s more of a location that you would sip sip rather than having your main meal.
Premium Kyoto Houjicha (RM 14>>>RM16.24) was a good drink to start with. Served in a cup with a decent amount, but on a non-reusable coaster. The tea was thick and leaves a mildly bitter aftertaste, which is rather nice to sip on. I felt it was served a tad bit late as the foam was not appealing.

I went on and ordered Three Cheese (Parmesan, mozzarella, cheddar) Sandwich (RM19>>>RM22.04). I must the sourdough bread was nicely toasted and give a very nice texture to chew on. The caramelised onions were matched perfectly with the savoury melted cheese. Albeit overly priced, the sandwich tasted really good.

Obviously that sandwich was not enough for my black hole stomach, so another French Butter Croissant 🥐 was summoned (RM11>>>RM12.76). The croissant was nice 👌 even without the butter 🧈, which was rather cute in serving. Not too sure the butter would elevate the overall gustatory experience.

A cuppa wouldn’t be complete without the cake. Out come the Matcha Burnt Cheesecake (RM14>>>RM16.24). I admit, this cheesecake was rather small in portion, but it was really creamy and full of matcha-ness (was that even a word 😝). Indeed, you can savour the cake really slow with your cup of coffee/tea as the indulgence of the cake was really tantalising.

If I were to be patron, I might drop by to chill. Otherwise, needing to pay a parking ticket for underground parking just for a tea seems rather cumbersome.
