β¨ New & aesthetic cafe in town π

Been waiting for this place to open since I came across to their IG a couple of months ago. Initially, I thought this is a place that sells matcha or houjicha, because of its name and their IG aesthetic/concept is green.
To my surprise, it is entirely something different ποΈπποΈ turns out it is a cafe that has Malaysian food as their main selling point. It is giving semi-deconstructed Malaysian food, but I think the better word for it is "elevated Malaysian food". Simplify it, they make Malaysian food look fancy π
However, I did not have the chance to try their main food over Wesak holiday. My siblings and I went here only for drinks, as you can see in the pics. So what we had:
1. Devil Chocolate
- This drink caught my attention hahaha, because I seldom see chocolate + earl grey together. I do not usually order chocolate, but this drink had me convinced. Taste-wise, it is interesting, I tasted the chocolate first, then only then the aftertaste of earl grey kicked in. I am hoping to request for less ice the next time, because I could not stir my drink π© plus the glass was not cylindrical, so it was rather hard for me to stir my drink
2. Hamoi Lemonade
- The staff recommended this, so my sister had this. When it was served, my sister asked me, "How to drink?", because there's hamoi powder around the edge of the glass (shown in pic), I told my sister to be choked on hamoi powder π but she just used the straw to slowly scoop the hamoi powder in and stirred it in the lemonade. The lemonade was good. Presentation-wise and taste-wise both are good, but practicality, a bit challenging to drink
3. Iced Cham
- My brother had this. My brother has no comment on this, so it is good for him. If he starts commenting his food or drink, obviously he's not satisfied with it. My sister and I both tried a sip, we think it rather tasted more coffee than milk tea, but the balance ratio of coffee and milk tea definitely depends on individual preferences. So, if you like your Cham more coffee taste, this is for you. The enamel metal mug really reminds my sister and I of our late grandfather, who used mugs like this at his home back in the olden days
Overall, we enjoyed our drinks and our time there, except we felt a bit stuffy in there after some time in there, plus the weather that day was scorching hot. The owner mentioned about the AC problem. The place is very new, they just started operating on the day we went, perhaps they need some time to have better preparations and adjustments. Besides that, everything else was fine. I am hoping to return there to try their food π Anyway, one thing I really like is that they use glass straws ππ even the colour of the glass straws matches the cafe's aesthetics. So, if you are a sucker for aesthetics, you know what to do π
