Couldn't get enough of this. Tried their berry flavour this round and definitely will go back for it. The amount of choices you get to choose from for the sides, superb.

Located beside Margaret Florist, this comfy and packed with creatives cafe not only sells good coffee, but also come with some DIY stations that you can explore. - Custom made magnet, stamping station.. 

Love the fact that they appreciate and support local made products. You might find their coffee and chocolate seems familiar because this place is owned by Breadboss owner :) and the quality control is superb - my colleague said his coffee tasted exactly the same (+ point). 



Lulu Cafe at Jalan Damai

Not many places offer a day trip/ walk-in jungle trekking so this is a good choice worth going. If you love the great nature, this is definitely a great getaway from the city life and hide yourself for a day in the jungle.

A few routes for you to choose from and if you're just looking for a simple and short walk, the canopy walk will be your best choice.

Very grateful to be greeted by one of my favourite bird, the Hornbill. One flew over my head and it sounded like some aircraft passing by. Another was hanging out on the tree. Is as tho, God given me a gift and allow me to just enjoy His presence and His creation.

- Prep your own meal, canteen was not operating during my visit. 
- Hiking/trekking attire is best even for canopy walk because you will surely sweat.

- This place is located at the same area with Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and Sunbear Conservation Centre. 

Walk-in hiking/jungle trekking 

Located 1st floor beside a massage place and somewhere above the Korean mart. Chill with limited seats (they encourage max stay for 1 and a half hour per table only) but cozy.

Simple with old school vibe, sells their own merchandise. I drop by after my library visit, only managed to try their hot choc (on the milky side) 

A good chill option in Tanjung Plaza. 


Hidden cafe in Tanjung Aru Plaza 

Can't help but just realised everything we ordered were brown and it's all tasty. A spacious restaurant served Malaysian crusine and offer different weekday promotions. 

Great place for big gathering, there's also VIP rooms for private function with P. Ramlee as background music. The food was really tasty, one that we love most will probably be Terung Wangian Emas. Definitely a place we would visit again. 

What we had,
1. Fried man tao with curry chicken
2. Salted egg bitter gourd
3. Terung Wangian Emas (Kam Heong stir fry eggplant)
4. Butter chicken

Tasty in brown 

Two of my favourite food in one, dimsum + prawn and here is where you can get prawn only siew mai, one of their best seller. 

Best seller list:
1. Prawn siew mai
2. Beef ball
3. Fried radish cake
4. Walnut buns (too good, I forgotten to take picture)

Halal siew mai with great services. They also sell frozen goods. 



Fresh Prawn Siew Mai 

Teck Guan, one of the must visit place in Tawau that you can enjoy the nature and everything chocolate. Their ice cream and chocolate drink is a must try. There's also food served here but I've never tried. 

During my first visit few years back, was privileged to witness 2 wild Hornbill, late afternoon. A lovely place to hang out, snap some photos but will be hot (no aircon) in the afternoon.

Located 10-15mins away from Tamparuli Town. This Airbnb is the best getaway from busy city life and surround yourself with greens.

Basic utilities are provided, capable to house 12 pax. Just nice for our staff retreat. This place will remind you of living the basic and simple life with plantation (kitcai, local lemon and maybe rambutans) that you can help yourselves to. Owner stays in the same compound and ready to assist anytime when needed. 

Electricity disruption happens when there's heavy rain and wind - experience the kampung life to the fullest (yes, no aircon) 


One thing we did not enjoy, bedrooms was downstairs and you will see your bed with dust due to untreated flooring (which they're working on it). Otherwise, a place we would visit again.

Smooth, healthy and yummy. Offering different flavours almost daily atm with varieties of fruits and toppings that you not only choose from but scoop it yourself. 

Multi grain lava and original flavour was the best seller during my visit. There's frozen yogurt too.
