If you're up for some adventure, Mt. K climb is a must. Be amazed by God's magnificent creation and one in a lifetime experience.

How? 
We booked directly with Sabah Park through their website. Our package was 400+ (bunk bed hostel + meal in Laban Rata + insurance + service charge)

What to bring?
1st day climb
1. Drinking water
   - I took protein shake before the climb
   - Brought with me 1000ml + 500ml 100plus
2. Food & Snacks
   - Energy bar, chocolate and anything you 
      Think will give you the boost to go on. 
   - Lunch

Summit climb
1. Wind breaker
2. Beanie
3. Good grips gloves 
    - There's places that you need to do 
        rope climbing
4. Water & snacks
5. Head torch

MUST HAVE! 
1. Trustworthy, good grips shoes
   - Personally think that this is one of the most
      Important item. You will need to trust your 
      shoes is able to take care of your every 
      steps. 
2. Hiking stick
    - I only use it during descending, super 
       helpful esp when you're already feeling the
       pain. 
3. Endurance
    - You will need this. 
4. Enjoy the journey :)

Ordered Borneo Specialty Chocolate - local cocoa that is super rich in flavor and ratio of choc + milk + sugar (I asked to reduce sugar to the bare minimum, best decision I made in life🤣)

For every RM80 spent in a single receipt, you can have a plate of Grilled Lamp Chop for RM1.

We had Steakhaus Signature Salad that actually looks more like steak with salad as side🤭 yay to more meat. Juicy and tender.

Here's an amazing young artist started her own artspace, a place for you to experience the different type of drawing technique offered. You can also purchase your art supplies here. 

The piece that we get to do, took me more than 2.5hours. The artist was very patience in guiding us and we have free flow of paint that we can use! 

Because it's located beside he highway, you will definitely hear cars passing by. Bring your earphone if you wish :)

Local young artist artspace 

Decrypt is located inside Citi Super, offering some unique blends. I am not the best person to recommend this cos I can't really drink coffee.

Here's some that is recommended to us. You can rely on the notes that comes with your drink, it is true to it taste as written on notes.

The experience was one of a kind with the friendly and helpful barista who is willing to share her knowledge. You can even have your very own custom made coffee blend here.

Not too sure if it's the weather, the aircon seems to be not working well.

My sis and I was giving different requests while ordering that I too end up confused😂 but they were so kind and waited for us to decide and confirm our orders. Thank you for accommodating our nonsense😊

A decent little cafe surprisingly found near Servay Penampang that serve pretty good Tiramisu burnt cheesecake. Rose latte was a well balance of milk+coffee+rose. Both the Rose latte and hot choc was strong in their the flavor and less on milk, which is great.

+point: Sockets available.

Great service

Lighter in taste yet it's good. They offer Mala 生肉面 and 红燒肉 rice/noodles. Known for polo bun and there's other interesting sides (that sell off fast) and drinks.

Very friendly ladyboss and attentive staff.

Light yet tasty 生肉面

Simple, reasonable price yet lovely cakes. These loaf cakes are true to it's taste and just right for you to share with others for different occasions.

Highly recommend their chocolate mousse cake, perfect balance of taste with choc powder generously dusted on top. I love my cake less sweet and this is one that I'll go back for. 

Homebaker cakes

Bukit botak is about 30mins ride away from KK city. Great place to catch sunrise and the breathtaking view. We would aim to reach here before 6am (bring headlamp/torch) and took us not more than 30mins to reach the top.

A good place to train for Mt. K climb too, provided you go up and down few rounds :)


My go to hiking spot

If you enjoy a cup of milky hot choc, Osbel is a good choice + not a bad place to chill too.

The matcha soft serve 7/10

Chill

Here's a cafe without signboard and a pivot door. They serve pastry, cakes and goat milk soft serve.

Personally thinks that it's on the pricey side. Croissant is simple but nicely done and give their soft serve a go.

Decent Hot Choc

On the salty side but a must try. Order with rice or a dish by itself.
