Kedai Kopi Hiung Sang famous for their frozen chinese dumplings AKA sui gao (pork&shrimp fillings) and pei dan gao (century egg pork&shrimp fillings), and other frozen dimsum for locals. A lot visitors will buy their frozen goods here before flying back to their cities.

They also serve it in their restaurant for late breakfast & lunch so we got to eat freshly wrapped & cooked sui gao in soup or dry tossed(Gan Lao).

Best time to visit : 9am - 3pm


Dumplings Noodle [Non-Halal]

Love this restaurant, they served their Nasi Kuning(turmeric rice) warm and meats fried upon order so it is freshly cooked.

Their sambal choice from non-spicy (pictured) to spicy. Do ask them to seperate the sambal if prefered no sambal. I always ask for extra red sambal because it is delicious and not spicy at all.

Open-air restaurant with indoor & outdoor seats. Accept cash and QR payment.

Nasi Kuning

A local chinese restaurant situated in the middle of housing neighbourhood of Taman Sentosa. You wouldn't notice this restaurant unless a local introduce it or simply living there.

Vehicles or Grab can reach to this restaurant but do visit early (before 7pm) as they usually fully booked during weekend.

Chinese Dishes [Non-Halal]

Blue Peaflower coloured rice, spices marinated fried jumbo chicken thigh with the sambal that I always ask for refill. Served with salted egg and keropok to make it even more fun to eat.

Air-conditioned local kopitiam theme restaurant, situated in the centre of Sandakan city. Popular with tourists who looking for a spot of Instagram-able and tasting local foods.

Nasi Kerabu Ayam Berempah

Our favourite Penang Char Kuey Tiaw spot. Air-conditioned restaurant, they provide variety of chinese seafood menu and has buffet services. Dining tables allow up to 10-12 pax, great place to organise dinner party. Serve no pork, muslim friendly restaurant.

My go-to spot for thai chicken rice for their thai chilli&ginger and honey lemon thai tea. They serve some popular Thai foods like Pad Thai, Tom Yam and even coconut pudding. They also serving variety of local foods like Nasi Lemak Ayam Berempah, curry laksa and a lot more.
