This art gallery is easily accessible by public transport and it's completely free of charge. There are a wide selection of art to explore, didn't manage to capture everything because the gallery was huge! 

I really enjoyed the "Krystal Valley" installation showcase by Jun Ong, who is a mixed art artist. There were QR codes to scan for us to look at the AR crystals, which was 3D!

The “Jungle Jungle” exhibition by Zhang Xu Zhan was showcased at ILHAM Gallery. The exhibition featured the film “Compound Eyes of Tropical,” which won the Golden Horse Award for Best Animated Short Film in 2022. Other works included video animations, mixed media sculptures, paper puppets, and a site-specific paper installation. These pieces were inspired by Taiwan’s traditional “huzhi” technique, commonly used in ceremonial festivals.  ￼

“Jungle Jungle” explored the commonalities and diversities between cultures, examining how music’s meaning changes in circulation and how oral stories and folktales adapt in different regions to produce localized versions.

I ordered the TSUYUHIKARI matcha (shorter glass) and my friend ordered the REN matcha (taller glass). I would say mine has a more bitter and vegetal umami aftertaste because I asked for no syrup. The burnt cheesecake was also good but the portion was quite small. 

There was a long queue when we entered, waited for about 30-40 minutes so we looked around at the matcha and tea collection section. 

Famous matcha spot 

Hands down the best spot to relax admist being in the city. Spent around an hour exploring the numerous attractions inside, it was so worth it! There were a lot of trees for shade and grass open areas, saw a few people laying their mats for picnic. 

Would definitely be perfect for a morning jog to breathe some fresh air. There are also two playgrounds, filled with children during the evening. 

Majority of the attractions are free, but certain areas within the garden or special exhibitions might charge a fee

Free European style park in KL

Ordered the kimchi fried rice with smoked duck from the recommended section, honestly taste like a normal fried rice because not much wok hey. The special fried rice was slightly better. The iced lemon tea was very sweet and quite overpriced too. 

Service was a bit slow, probably because of CNY so it was a long queue. 

Uncle Roger fried rice

Went for my first trial duo class for Cadillac Pilates few months ago! There are 3 trial packages- 1:1 session, duo cadillac class and group reformer class. 

It was an interesting experience to try cadillac as it's perfectly suited for beginners who have never tried Pilates, but they also offer deep, targeted stretching exercises. Muscles will definitely be really sore for the next few days 😂

Tried their beef kimchi jjigae and it was so good! It comes with tofu, glass noodles, onions and mushrooms in the soup. Super flavourful! The side dishes are also refillable for 2 times 

Not to mention, the staffs were super friendly and the dining experience was good 👍 

Authentic korean food in Pavillion

Really unique experience with bingsu served like a salmon don. The matcha cookies were made to picture "wasabi" while the gula melaka was poured like soy sauce! 

In fact, the salmon-like jelly were mango and strawberry flavoured, served with mango popping balls, mango ice cream and mango chunks in the middle. 

Also ordered the lemon yuzu cake, but it was alright. Definitely recommend trying the bingsu more!

Really nice spot to enjoy the breeze and spend quality time with family! No entrance fee required but customer must purchase a drink. Would say it's super worth it because you're able to enjoy the picturesque view of KK.

Nature gateway 

Warabi mochi set with your own choice of matcha/hojicha ice cream (I chose melodrama, really strong matcha taste and not really sweet). Mochi texture was really soft and silky! 

Not sure why, but service was really slow though, took about 45 minutes... Noticed the employee constantly messaging on the phone to get instructions on how to make it 😂

Cute cafe with decent food, can get quite crowded but perfect for kids birthday celebrations! 

1. Mango and plum chicken lunch set which comes with bear-shaped garlic rice and iced lemon tea! The rice was a bit dry but kudos to the presentation effort. 

2. Waffle set that comes with matcha gelato, fruit toppings and matcha drizzle sauce.

Teddy bear themed cafe 

A while ago, I visited lido plaza and found this fish noodle shop! The portion was really generous for its price and the shop is air conditioned, honestly exceeded my expectations. The noodles were well cooked and the soup was well-flavoured too (can choose to add milk or just have clear soup).
