They have quite a wide mixed rice selection and also cooked food you can order at the counter. My favourite is cha sau fried rice. Understandably, it's not real meat because its a vegetarian restaurant. I pair it with the sambal here and it's delicious. Rice dishes come with a small free bowl of soup. Big portion and satisfactory. 

Yummy and value for money

It's a classic place to have breakfast. I ordered konlou mien with fish paste and fish slice. Husband ordered the beef. It was nice. I like the noodles. Added chili to give it a kick. Nothing much to say about it. It's nice, just not my type of food that will leave me high and wanting for me like banana leaf. Haha. 

Classic Fish & Beef Noodles

The food was fantastic. Been there many times and it doesn't disappoint. It is flavourful and tasty. I usually order quesadilla (beef). My husband had burrito bowl, it was good too. My kids had pizza. They finished everything so I assume it's good. The only downside was that they only serve mineral water instead of drinking water, and it was the day my kids didn't have their water bottle with them. We ordered the mineral water of course, but they didn't like the taste 🤭 That aside, food is great, no regrets. Sorry I only have 1 pic, we were all busy eating 😆

Delicious Mexican Food

It was my first time having Jollibee. I ordered the spaghetti set with a fried chicken and drink. I have to say the spaghetti was delicious. The sauce was a perfect combination of sweet and tangy. The melted cheese added a great texture. The fried chicken was okay. Not too fantastic but didn't disappoint either. Maybe next time I will order the original. They have a choice of original or spicy for the fried chicken. There was a small container of mushroom sauce, I wasn't sure what to do with it. I dipped it with the fried chicken, haha. 

Interesting Fast Food

This is the first time I have walked out of a banana leaf rice shop not feeling happy and satisfied. 

After we sat down, it took some time before someone handed us the menu, and then it took a while before we got to place orders. It wasn't packed at all. OK, maybe we were used to fast service from other banana leaf rice shop. So not too big a deal but it just went downhill from there. 

There was not much choice of food to order. We ordered the basic banana leaf rice set, then had to go outside to pick the main dish. There was only a pathetic selection of 3 meats to choose from. We picked the chicken dish. There was only two vege side dishes on the banana leaf. It was quite ok. However, the fish curry...... well, I don't hv anything nice to say, so no comment. 

The most infuriating thing is that a lot of food items were not available such as egg. I requested for egg for my son, it could be fried egg or omelette, anything basically. But there was none, according to the waiter. Unbelievable. And no fried chicken as well. So there was nothing for my kids to eat except papadom and orange juice. 

So we hurriedly just ate our unsatisfactory meal and had to head off elsewhere for the kids to have something. 

I don't usually post negative reviews as I understand it could be damaging, so just wanna say that this is my experience today. Maybe they will have better selection of food for dinner 🤷‍♀️ What I like was the spacious place and nice drink - teh tarik ais. 

Utterly disappointed 

Ordered chicken briyani on banana leaf with condiments. I requested for fish curry to go with it. So good, flavourful and fulfilling as usual. 

I ordered fried chicken and omelet for the kids (first time ordering the fried chicken) I tried a little to test if its spicy before giving to them. I was blown away by the amazing mix of the spices and how delicious it was. It was super tasty and not spicy. 

Always happy after a meal at Jothys. 

Why is it so delicious? 😋

Xing Wan Pan Mee in Damai is one of my staples. This is thin noodles pan mee (dried) and mixed soup (there's meatball, wantan, slice meat and the vege). 

Soup is tasty. Noodles is nice. I always order the same thing so I can't speak for other noodles. My husband orders yee mee (dried). Personally I feel the texture is a bit strange, but that's just me. I think yee mee would be better with the soup. 

Put soy sauce and chili padi for extra oomph. 

Hearty Breakfast

Been a regular here for years. Food is tasty and almost like the real Penang food. 

They have a limited menu of Loh Mee, Koay Teow Tng, Char Koay Teow, Prawn Noodle, Curry Mee and Pan Mee. And herbal drinks. But it's enough. 

I usually order Loh Mee (Mihun), Koay Teow Tng, sometimes CKT. These are tasty. 

Ive tasted nicer Curry Mee and Prawn noodle. 

Price is about RM9-10. Slightly price increase starting May. 

Tasty Penang Food

If your taste buds lean more to the spicy side, they have a variety of food that you may like. I usually order Mee Jawa, Tomyam and Nasi Lemak. Curry Kapitan is nice too.

I usually take the basic Kolo Mee and my hubby will order the special Kolo Mee. 

In the pic is Kolo Mee biasa, for special There is additional egg roll and fish ball. 

Tasty condiments, noodles springy and portion just right for me. Kolo Mee biasa is RM6 only. 

Quick and affordable breakfast in Damai

First of all, apologies for the ugly pic, didn't plan to post anything at first.
Ordered in on Grab for lunch. The food was still hot when it arrived! The briyani was fragrant, chicken was tasty and the curry was flavourful. 
Ate the banana leaf rice in-store before, it was not bad. But this is my first time trying the briyani.
Glad to say my tummy is happy and satisfied, all the way till after dinner. I mean I ate dinner too, but the satisfaction from the briyani lasted till night. You know what I mean? 
Not sure whether it was because it was my comfort food for a rocky start in the day, but all in all, happy 😀

Ordered Kids Meal of Chicken Tenders, and it comes with a side of fries and corn. Super love the marinara sauce it comes with. 

I usually order this as a late lunch as I do not want to be too full for dinner later.
