This is my first visit to this restaurant, as I saw there’s a 1st-anniversary promotion ongoing on Facebook. It states that ordering RM100 and above qualifies for the promotion. However, during this visit, I didn’t order more than RM100, so I’m not entitled to the promotion.

The fish and chips were disappointing as the fish coating was soggy and chewy. I’m not sure if it’s just bad luck or what, but this is the worst fish and chips I’ve had at a restaurant. Soggy fish and chips are really a big no for me. The portion size was small as well. Additionally, the tartar sauce didn’t taste like tartar; it resembled normal mayonnaise with some flavor added.

The fried chicken chop was alright; the chicken thighs were fried perfectly, and the chicken itself was still juicy. However, the portion size was a bit small too. As for the mashed potatoes, they tasted slightly too milky for my liking; I think they could have been less milky taste .

We also ordered fried chicken wings as a side, but they were just average, and there isn’t much to say about them.

Considering the price range, I would suggest going to Shooneys instead, as they offer better taste and portions. You’ll leave the place with a more satisfied tummy compared to here. Overall, I just feel like it’s not worth it.

After the last review of the worst buffet in kk, now i want to introduce you so far for me, the best buffet in kk. Basically how i define best buffet, is just more varieties of food and the taste. And overall, i have went to SICC 3times for their buffet, and they never failed to surprise me with the wide varieties of food choices. And most importantly, the price is below 100. So its really worth every penny!

The first two times i went is CNY buffet and ramadan buffet. And this time is Malaysia day special buffet(they only do buffet on special occasions, please do check on their fb page).  Malaysia day’s buffet is Rm88nett per adult. And the varieties of food is like you see until dont know where to start from🤣

So basically they divided their buffet section in few sections la, one thing i want to highlight about is that, every cuisine serves varieties of choices from seafood,meats,and veges,mean that you’ll get different type of cooking for lamb,beef,chicken and seafood etc.. not just can get lamb in one section(cooking style)

Their Outdoor(p7&8) consists of Malay, Indian and local cuisine(kadazan food). 
For Malay food they do serve satay,rendang,nasilemak, like whatever you can think of la, but one thing to highlight is that you could choose fish and ask them to panggang for you.

For chinese food section they serve dimsum, curry noodles, ngau chap, butter prawn, stirred fried ginger onion beef,mongolian beef, fried dimsums, peking duck wrap and more!

Theres alot of varieties and i dont think i could this every food from every section. Even salads bar thy have ALOT for you to choose from. And my mum will always start from the salad bar cause you can see the quality there🌸 No words could describe how excited am i going there everytime to eat their buffet. And another thing to highlight is their seafood on ice!! The prawn aduiii PUNYA BASARRRR like bigger than palm size i no kidding! Their dessert section and kuih muih section also very good!!

But im not sure its pro or cons, their buffet selection is really huge so you have to walk from  end to end to get your food. And somehow when you walk from one end to your seat, the food already cold🤣🤣 cz their place is so big. So i let you to judge if this is good or bad la🫣

Words cant show how good their buffet is for me. Only when you try once, you’ll know how good their buffet is compared to those hotel buffet. Service is very nice too! Staffs are friendly and welcoming! Give it a try next time when they have buffet again,  usually below rm100 per pax!! 

The biggest setting and most worthwhile buffet in KK

Me and my family went to try this buffet in shangrila tanjung aru last sat as it is Mid Autumn festival and we just realise that we never tried their buffet yet!

When comes to the buffet, first of all the selections and varieties of food is important. And this hotel really do have limited choice, only two row of hot food. And the choices are not much. Until a point that i dont even know what i want to eat😂 seriously I wouldn’t suggest you to eat here.

Apart from less selection, the taste of food i wouldn’t say its bad la, but just really normal, somehow outside can find better food. But, we are paying for the environment right? The only nice food i found is their cheesecake la, not bad. Even their ice cream, they just provide us a very low quality ice crema potong, amelia brand😂 taste really artificial. For 118 per pax, i think i would expect more from them, atleast some better food selections, and not provide some low quality food. They almost provide only one type of meat in one cooking style. Me and my mum are fish lover, but thy cook their fish in lemak style, which we don’t really like, so we didnt get try their fish.zz

Quite dissatisfied and disappointed with their quality la. So far i would say SICC’s buffet is the most satisfying buffet for me, throwback to cny’s lunch buffet and ramadan buffet , rm88 with so much variety of food, u eat until u dont know what to eat. I think i will just stick to SICC buffet now, cause they do really provide quality food and wide variety, like even salad bar, u will see until u pengsan cz too much choices🤣🤣 **even sicc’s oxtail asam pedas is better than hyatt noww🫣

Overall, i would never come back to this buffet anymore, waste money and really waste my stomach’s quota la! Zui nget de ba u thinking to get some nice food but at the end get lanc food!! Outside cincai one seafood restaurant serves better food than them🤣

So far the worst hotel buffet in kk for me

This is one of the MUST GO place whenever i go tuaran. It is just located before the Hospital tuaran, after the petronas if u come from Kk. roadside restaurant, be sure to drive slowly after you pass through the petronas, as you’ll missed easily for the first timer. Plenty of parking, but as usual la, kampung road, very bumpy on the parking area🤣 just waze Bakut Tomyum and you’ll find it.

I will usually go for meehoon ikan goreng tomyum but sadly that day when i visit, they only have prawn and fresh fish. One bowl is rm11, quite reasonable compared to kk, cause in kk cincai2 also need 16++, and I really donno why tomyum is super expensive in kk? Cz use more rempah ratus ka do the soup??

ANYWAY! Lets come back to the food. We ordered 2tomyum meehoon udang and 1 mix(udang+sliced fish) and for the mix, i ask them to kasi KAW the soup(cause my friend asked me to do so, baru puas🤣) and you can identify easily which one is the KAW version from the pic as the color is very dark. Very siok to eat the soup, super pedas, and i added alot of kitzai, so the soup is very flavourful, hot,spicy and sour! Ngam my taste🤣 for people who cant eat that spicy, i will recommend you to just stick to normal la, no need kaw😝 the meehoon is nice, no over cook, just nice for me, still abit chewy. But the prawn abit small la, and one of the prawn quite lembik, i think not that fresh. Fish is fresh! So i will recommend you all to just go for ikan goreng/ fresh fish!

One more thing to highlight is their drinks, their cincau susu is the signature and if youre water tangki like me, i will recommend you to get chinese teh ping BESAR just rm1, but puas minum, really big🤣 apa lagi u eat spicy thn drink smthg cool, fuisshhh siokk🤣 this shop will definitely be one of my fav tomyum shop la other than fatt kee! Very Aromatic Tomyum @ Tuaran

Im not sure if many people know this place but ive been a regular customer since i was very very little, mayb regular customer more than 18years🤣🤣 their soup broth is still tip top and the portion really wow la🤣🤣 They do have S M L size for you to choose from. I frgt the price, but everything is less than Rm10, really worth to try. Atleast it is not as commercialised as yee fung la, since there’s tourist place kan🤣 and this is like just more to local and regular customers..

Ive ordered laksa meehoon(L) and pan mee laksa(M), 3chinese teh and 1 teh tarik ping.  Total Rm22. Very reasonable.

The pan mee laksa is something that im trying for the first time. The mee is quite chewy, got texture, and theymix with sayur manis(insyead of taugeh) and ikan bilis. You can add half boiled egg on it too if you want🤣 not bad laaa.

And the laksa meehon just as nice as usual, the portion is huge because i ordered (L) and the ingredients inside are really alot, like you can keep get the chicken and eggs, they really no luki one🤣 but i think their soup they can make it hotter baru siok, cz when we drink the soup, abit suam suda.

But overall this is still a very nice shop that you all could try if you never try, its located in inanam area. Not frgt to mention the boss and workers are all so friendly heheh! Have a try!!

My Favourite Laksaaaaa🥹

After my last visit with friends, ive decided to tey out their 叫菜吃饭 with my family. 

Mongolian Chicken Rm18 (5/10)
Its serve in fillet style, and not chicken chop, the sauce alittle bit funny, i really donno how to describe the taste of it, heavy in black papper taste. Thats it i can recall about this dish, i was thinking to describe more, but thats what in my mind now! Not really my liking, i like chicken serve in chicken chop style ba 😆 and the sauce abit hehe😅

Claypot Toufu with Seafood (8/10) Rm18
A generous portion of seafoods including prawn,sotong and fish, with alot of veges and taufu. Taste was niceee and seafood is so freshhhh! The prawn is biggggg here!! Definitely worth your money than the chicken🤣

Salted egg sotong Rm18(7.5/10)
The sotong is so crispy and fresh. You can feel the sotong itself is crunchy bcz its freshhhh!! Altho the salted egg taste is not heavy, but the sotong itself is nice. The coating of the sotong is light too. I think that it will be nicer if the salted egg have more heavier taste🫢

Curry Fish Head Rm38 (3/10)
Their captain always recommend this to people but im not sure if she tasted this before. Im not sure what fish they are using, but the fish is so so soooooo fishy today. Even the curry taste cannot cover the fishy smell. Curry is on the spicy side, not that flavourful. You can just taste spicy and curry. You couldnt feel the aromatic of the curry, basically not that “hiong” la if you know what i mean hahahaha! I still prefer delicious curry house’s curry fish when comes to curry ikan! Nothing good about this fish! 
NOT FRESH+NOT FLAVOURFUL!!!!

Overall out of 4dishes, theres two dishes that i approve, which is claypot taufu and salted egg sotong. My advice to you is that be careful on ordering dishes on this shop, not every dish is tasty🤣🤣 but still the shop is really worth to give a try. I will definitely go here again, but a big no no to curry fish head. But not to forget to mention, they serve really fresh sliced fish, weird kan, slice fish fresh but head not fresh.. but anyway, you can still give it a try whenever you are running out of idea what to eat! 老味道饭店 Old Taste Recipe Restaurant @ FohSang

Ive heard my friend told me that this place serve quite big portion food, and i also kept seeing this on Fb/IG la, so i decided to give it a try todayyyy!!

The service i wanted to rate 4 because the staff was so lcly during taking my order and give me those resting bxtxh face, but their lady boss is quite friendly when im paying my bills, so, add 2* for the lady boss HAHAH.

Okay back to food, i ordered curry meehoon RM12.5 and i asked them to seperate my saunyuk and wantan from the soup bcz idw them bcm soggy(i like it cruchy)🤣🤣 I remembered i tried once their food during MCO and the curry soup is not that nice, but surprisingly, they have improved alott!! I was like WOWWWW. Since im a soup kosong lover, when i saw their self service soup kosong, terus i go and get some for myself even my food is already soupy🤣🤣 and you knw whattt, their soup is nice too! I think is some sort of sau kut sup? Just veli veli nicee!! I will definitely come back and try their watan ho as i see that’s really tempting too! 

Overall, the curry is not bad! Worth trying it if you are a curry lover.. but i dont know how to describe, my preference still will be curry from A1(you can refer back to my previous post) idk whats the difference, but just the A1 curry tasted more smooth i think? But still, here also very niceee. Just personal preference!!

Decent ChaSao SauNyuk @ Damai

Im sure that most of regular vegetarian eaters must know this vegetarian buffet! In case you still dont know this, let me introduce my favourite place to you.. They are located just right beside McDonald Karamunsing, operate from 11am i think. You can find most dishes during their lunch time,around 1130-1pm. 

They serve really good and varieties of food. From selection of rice/porridge/noodle as your main all the way down to desserts/kuih muih and watermelon! 

You will be greeted by a lovely and super friendly kakak once you go in, she’s so nice and you’ll just feel  welcoming whenever you go in(but sometimes she might be busy la)

The food varieties up to 20 choices, and the menu will be slightly different everyday, but my all time favourite will be their fried wonton. Yummmm! And today they serve buttermilk tauhu, something ive never tried before, yum yum also🥰🥰They also do have pisang goreng(sometimes is ubi goreng or mochi), soup of the day and dessert of the day. Im not really a tongshui lover, but today i saw their barley is so tempting, and I decided to give a try, wow surprisingly it is sooooooo nice, i ate 2bowl😋😋 sometimes they serve kacang merah or kacang hijau as their desser also laa..

I feel like if someone wanna try some vegetarian food, you may want to try here! Go around 1130am or 1pm and you’ll find seat and still gt many choices of food, cause sometimes during the lunch time it will be so packed.

Give it a try, after all it is just Rm13.9. Nowadays cincai one mee sup also 10++ ady🤣🤣

Was driving around with my friend to see what food can we get on gaya street area and my friend told me that indo padang not bad wa🤣

Hmm, for me la, okok ja la. Cause mayb malay cookinh style kan, they like to fried their chicken to very dry and for chinese we suka juicy2 abit , their rice portion is ok la, sambal, not that spicy. Will i come back? Haha… no la ofcz🤣🤣 too ordinary baa, not say that not nice, but just hmmmm too biasa🤣

Ayam Penyet @ Gaya Street

Went to service my car at toyota, so my friend and i were thinking where to get some yummy food in here, since we not everytime come here kan🤣

 and deng dengggg, we found this tomyum place from Facebook.

This restaurant is really spacious as they have their own private parking(they building their restaurants inside their house area i guess) so parking won’t be a problem there!

Back to the tomyum, the price is slightly on the higher price Rm17, and the soup is more sourish and not that spicy, not really creamy la. And for the ingredients inside gt, 2fishballs,2yeefu,2yeewat,2fishcakes and 1prawn. Have to highlight their ingredients really yummy oh, enough taste and sedapp! Not sure where they get their supplies from🤣🤣🤣The meehoon is abit softer, i prefer those not overcooked laa.. not Portion okok la, not really full, like what my friend say, macam kena limpas tu korongkong saja🤣🤣 shop is not crowded during my visit around 8:30am..  overall food is still ok la. I wouldnt come here purposely for their tomyum. But seriously taste is okay, but not until WOW. And Rm17 really abit expensive la kan🤣

I guess most of orang kk must be keep seeing the advertisements of this shop.. and I remember YBginger aka adun Luyang also promoted this shop before. I always wanted to try this, but no chance, finally today get to taste their food!

Sesame kuey teow with fried seafood Rm13
Aiyoo this food really the best of the day la🤣🤣 the fried seafood teda luki one, fried fish, prawn and sotong, all big big okay! And soooooo freshhhh!! Abit i wan pengsan there eat dao the seafood🤣 the kueyteow is like konlao la, but the sauce is smthg like chee cheong fun’s sauce. When everything you kacau together, it become very hioooong. 

老味道肉片饭 Rm13
Since i saw tht this shop also using the same name,老味道，so I thought this will be their signature. ButCompare to the kuey teow, this rice abit kalah la. The taste of meat is like gt abit curry powder and lemon sauce? Idk! HAHAHAHAH but the taste still acceptable la.. but cp value, memang sesame kuey teow win! Cause seafood kan.. aiya but now pork also mahal gila🤣🤣

Actually got ordered one more kuey teow goreng la, but didn’t take pic, also Rm13, taste average.

Butter Prawn Rm18
We saw the other table got order, then after we finished our food, we still feel like wanna to gigit smthg, so we ordered this! AS USUAL, THE PRAWN IS FRESH AND FLAVOURFULLLL!! AHHHHHHH we ordered 虾球instead of 大虾，cause wan budget sikit. But the prawnball also besar baa! Niceee!!

Overall i would say this will be a nice place to 叫菜吃饭as their lauk all so yummy we see from other table. Price are reasonable too! The restaurant is so packed too! I would definitely you all to try out their sesame kuey teow and their seafood!!!! Veli naiseee!! Im now thinking when should i go again to try out their other seafood🤣🤣

恩师傅老味道饭店 Old Taste Recipe @ Fohsang

Was thinking where to eat for lunch and friend suggested this Nasi Mandi as we are craving some hot soup during this rainy and cold day. Heard that the shop is famous with their lambshank nasi mandi, but sis pokkai dont have much money so we just go for normal food🤣

This nasi mandi they have 2branches, one in penampang one in kingfisher. I visited the kingfisher’s outlet. It was a full house even when i went there already around 215pm. The dishes came up quickly after we ordered, around 10min? 

Nasi mandi ayam (Rm13.9): the rice comes with some raisin in it and some cherry tomatoes, almost like normal white rice except it has some colors with it. The chicken is good, well marinated, although the waitress told us that it is honey chicken but i feel like more to satay chicken, but nice taste, it comes with a bowl of pickles and sambal belacan to eat with it..

Nasi ayam penyet bali(Rm11.9): okay la nthg to highlight, normal ayam penyet loh HAHAHAH but atleast its not vvv dry type. As some of the ayam penyet out there kan, the ayam reallyyyyyyyyyy dry and hard to chew, sometimes even my jaw tired eating. But this wuite ok, not too dry. But at the same time, not until vvv juicy la. Faham2 la kan🤣🤣 

OHHH one thing to highlight about the nasi ayam penyet is their lada. Its quite spicy, can recer to last picture, middle plate.. pedas sampai telinga bergagar gitueeeee🤣🤣

Sup tulang (Rm12++??): sorry lupa the exact harga, but around that laaa.. ermmm average sup tulang la, tu tulang gt abit daging, not much, u need pandai2 go korek2 and bitee. The soup quite kaw, but not really my liking🤣🤣
Overall food was okay, but if you were to ask me will i go back again? Ermmmmm i would say….. maybe?🤣
